A foreword by Sarah Jessica Parker, and essays by Tonne Goodman of Vogue and Patricia Mears of FIT further illuminate the creative collaborations between design and dance.

New York City Ballet, which celebrates its 75th anniversary this year, has been collaborating with prominent fashion designers since its inception. From the first Fall Fashion Gala in 2012 when renowned choreographers Peter Martins and Christopher Wheeldon collaborated with Valentino, through the present, these ballets are celebrated as collaborations between choreographers and some of the biggest names in fashion. Now New York City Ballet Choreography & Couture brings ten years of artistic vision to life.
