Lisa Strömbeck: In Bed (Signed)

Hip to hip, paw in hand, body to body. Lisa Strömbeck's book In Bed contains twenty photographs from the series of the same name, taken from 2014 onwards. The peaceful and silent contact between humans and pets is depicted in the quietest room in the home, the bedroom. In the foreword to the book, Strömbeck gives some suggestions as to why we in the Western world today, own a record number of pets.

Lisa Strömbeck is an artist born in Sweden and living in Denmark, where she got her education at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts. Since the 1990s, she has created video films and photo series, mainly focusing on the human relationship with other animals. Packs of stray dogs, as well as her own dogs and domestic animals own by her acquaintances, play important roles in the work. The series In Bed has most recently been shown in Fotografiska in Stockholm, Tallinn and New York and is part of the collection in Moderna Museet, Stockholm.
